GL8 stands for "Long-Span Mezzanine Floor” with 8 folds (the beams have 8 roll forming folds); the span, i.e. the distance between two adjacent columns, can reach a maximum of 8 metres. The GL8 long-span mezzanine floor has important innovative features and has been patented. This is substantially made up of columns, capitals and beams . The mezzanine floor horizontal structure grid consists of main and secondary beams. The beams, made of certified quality steel, can be of different thicknesses and be installed single or double according to the capacity required. The beams are provided throughout their length with holes for the passage of tubes, cables and technical elements, thus facilitating installation of the ancillary systems. The capitals connect the beam grid to the supporting columns. All the elements that make up the GL8 long-span mezzanine floor offer high load-bearing capacities in compliance with the safety regulations. The warp of the main and secondary beams supports the passageway of the GL8 mezzanine floor, which Armes Maini can produce in different ways according to requirements: galvanised sheet metal floor strips , wood, for use alone or combined with corrugated sheet iron, or lightweight concrete base to obtain a masonry floor. The GL8 long-span mezzanine floor is completed by a wide range of accessories including access ladders , provided with non-slip galvanised steps, protective railings and gates. The fact that the product can be configured as desired and its flexibility, combined with the user’s creativity, allow particularly elegant structures to be obtained, for example when making overhead display surfaces. Armes Maini can produce mezzanine floors for installation in seismic areas or for outdoor applications.
